작가 임현아는 글 쓰고 일러스트 작업을 할 뿐 아니라, 에디터, 북디자이너이자 번역가로도 활동하고 있다. 2021년 첫 저서인 ‘디자이너 10인과의 다이얼로그’를 출간하고, 예술 서적 집필을 이어가 ‘Here’ 시리즈를 냈다. 이화여자대학교 불어불문과를 졸업 후, 뉴욕 파슨스 스쿨 오브 디자인에서 실내디자인을 전공, 아카데믹 아너즈로 졸업했다. 도서출판 아키랩과 (주)에이엔씨에서 작가, 디자이너, 에디터 겸 번역가로 활동했다. 한국외국어대학교와 가천대학교 등 대학에서 영어 강의를 했으며, 청소년 영자신문 에듀타임즈에서 기자로 일했다. 만남을 소중히 하고 삶에서 잔잔한 행복을 찾는 것을 즐기는 작가는, 어른을 위한 동화 ‘바람타고 머물러요’에 서정적인 글과 시적인 그림을 담아냈다. 현재 포레드림 출판사를 운영하고 있다.

Author, Hyunah Lim not only writes and illustrates but also engages in creative activities as Editor, Designer, and Translator. In 2021, she published her first book, ‘Dialogue with 10 Designers,’ and continued writing and designing art books, releasing the 'Here' series. She graduated from Ewha Womans University majoring in French Language and Literature. She went to New York to study Interior Design and graduated from Parsons School of Design with academic honors. She worked at Archi-lab Publishing House and A&C Publishing Co. Ltd. as Author, Designer, Editor and Translator. She taught English at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Gachon University, among others, and worked as Editor for the juvenile English newspaper, EduTimes. She cherishes every encounter as a precious gift and finds joy in the simple happiness of life’s journey. She worked on writing and drawing for the fairy tale for adults, ‘Simply Voyaging’ conveyed through lyrical language and poetic illustrations. Presently, she runs her own publishing house, Foret de Lim.
