It rained in Binson's heart too. The dark sky made Binson glum.
'Will I ever get out of this place? I and struggling to survive but I cold end up dying alone.' The more questions he asked hinself the more negative the answers bcame. A bud of doubt was growing in his mind, and the hard rain was its nourishment. Perhaps it was because he had more time on his hands. Ever since the crash, Binson had been too busy trying to survive that he had no time to think of anything else. But now that he had notning to do because of the rain, weak thoughts began to nibble at his mind. The biggest threat to being stranded was not cold, thirst or hunger, but the boredom and stress that diminish the will to survive. Binson sat vacantly all day, doing nothing. His face grew haggard by the day because he didn't eat properly. Island trapped in the sea, cabin trapped in the rain. Depression set in on the lonely island. --- pp.128~129 |
