Art Spiegelman
전위 만화와 그래픽을 주로 다루는 잡지인 'Raw'의 공동 창설자이자 편집자이다. 그의 작품은 〈뉴욕 타임즈〉〈플레이보이〉〈빌리지 보이스〉 등 많은 정기 간행물에 실려 발표됐고, 그의 그림들은 국내와 해외의 박물관과 화랑의 전시회에서 선을 보였다. 만화 『쥐』로 '구겐하임 상', '전국도서비평가협회상', '퓰리처상' 등을 수상했다. 현재 뉴욕에서 그의 아내 프랑소와즈 몰리와 그의 자녀 나디야, 다쉬엘과 함께 살고 있다.

Art Spiegelman
Art Spiegelman is cofounder/editor of Raw, the acclaimed magazine of avant-garde comics and graphics. From 1992 to 2002, he was a staff artist and writer for The New Yorker, which published his powerful black-on-black 9/11 cover a few days after the event. His drawings and prints have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the world. Maus received the Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Spiegelman lives in New York City with his wife, Francoise Mouly, and their two children.
