I Go Alone to a Distant Home
You …, the word ‘you’ sounds very good so I call you giggling Once there was a cry of solitude as one sadness closed its door and another sadness opened its Leaning on my wound caused by having lived so long I tee-hee …, call ‘you’ A maple palm, the cleft of a gingko leaf, then the reunion, the fleabane’s anxiety, the trampled grass returns to the soil You …, I’m giggling about time or love and wounds, when a wounded body rubs against mine You …, you are nature’s moon and star …, I’m giggling, it’s you …, The beauty of a guy near tears, leaning on that beauty I head to the grave of my mind to cut the weeds with only a bottle of alcohol hanging from my hip and no food to arrange at the grave Like a sick person but healing a disease and having a disease are two different things tee-hee you lovely you …, the word ‘you’ sounds so good because it isn’t me I can never abandon the misery or ask for a refund …, but tee-hee you

The act of writing a poem may be the same as looking upon a cross someone has left behind. Symbols unrelated to religion are similar. I sometimes think considering a person’s earnest experiences, and empathizing with those times are the heart of writing poetry. It works with non-human experiences as well; watching a little hydrangea tree in the yard during mornings and evenings is the same. Observing a nest in an old fir tree, with little birds twittering all day long is the same. An earnest moment holds the power of intense love. That may be the time of writing poetry. At that moment, the power of the act lets a poet live as a poet.
