사울 왕은 다윗에게 갑옷을 주었어요.
그러나 다윗은 거절했어요.
다윗은 갑옷을 입고 싸워 본 적이 없었거든요.
When Saul offered David his armor,
David said no because he wasn’t used to
fight with armor on.

다윗은 물매를 쓸 줄 알았어요.
양들을 지키기 위해 자주 써 봤거든요.
David did know how to use a sling.
He had used it often to protect his sheep.

David took his sling
and went to fight Goliath.
다윗은 물매를 가지고
골리앗과 싸우러 나갔어요.

골리앗은
다윗이 오는 것을
보고 비웃었어요.
“하 하 하!”
When Goliath saw him coming,
he made fun of David.

그래도 다윗은 돌과 물매를 가지고 싸웠어요.
하나님은 다윗이 이기도록 도와주셨어요.
But David used his stone and sling,
and the Lord helped him win the fight.

다윗은 하나님이 제일 강하다고 믿었고
그 생각이 맞았어요.
David was right to believe
that the Lord was the strongest of all.
