서울대학교 공과대학 졸업(공학사), 고려대학교 대학원 수료(경영학박사), 일본 쓰쿠바대학 대학원 수료(경영공학 박사과정)했다. 일본 문부성 통계수리연구소 객원연구원, 일본 동경대학 사회과학연구소 객원교수, 러시아 극동대학교 한국학대학 교환교수, 중국 중국해양대학 관리학원 객좌교수, 국방과학연구소 연구원을 역임했다. 현재 경기대학교 경상대학 경영학과 명예교수, 한국제안활동협회 회장이다. 주요저서로 『Amos로 배우는 구조방정식모형』, 『SPSS를 활용한 주성분분석과 요인분석』, 『Excel 및 SPSS를 활용한 다변량분석 원리와 실천』, 『SPSS를 활용한 연구조사방법』,
