저자인 주서택 목사와 김선화 박사는 1992년 한국교계 최초로 성경 심리학의 관점으로 마음을 치유하는 '성서적 내적치유 세미나'를 시작하였다. 저자는 예수그리스도의 구속의 약속을 구체화시켜 인간 심리문제를 풀어가는 ‘The New Covenant Model’ 심리 모델을 만들고 이 모델을 골격으로 30년간 내적 치유 세미나와 사역을 진행하고 있다.
