Once upon a time, a goodhearted fisherman and his greedy wife lived at the edge of the sea.

One very cold winter day, there was a terrible snowstorm. The fisherman looked at the high waves on the sea and said aloud to himself, "I guess I won`t be able to go fishing today."

But at that moment his wife came out of the kitchen and began to nag him in her loudest and meanest voice. "What do you plan on doing? Do you just want to dawdle around here all day?"

옛날, 어느 바닷가에 마음씨 착한 어부와 욕심많은 아내가 살고 있었습니다. 눈보라가 휘몰아치는 어느 추운 겨울날이었습니다. 어부는 거친 바다를 바라보며 혼잣말을 했습니다.

"오늘은 고기를 잡으러 못 나가겠구나!"

그 때 부엌에서 아내가 나오더니 다짜고짜 소리를 질렀습니다.

"여보! 고기를 잡으러 안 가고 뭘 꾸물대는 거예요?"

어부는 할 수 없이 바다로 나갔습니다.
