성경을 종교의 관점으로 읽는 것과 언약의 관점으로 읽는 것은 태양을 천동설의 관점으로 보는 것과 지동설의 관점으로 보는 것만큼 다릅니다. 구원은 성취되는 것이 아니라, 이루어지는 것입니다. 성취되는 것은 가능성의 문제이지만, 이루어지는 것은 가능성의 문제가 아닙니다. 구원은 세상에서 가능한 것이 아닌, 하나님이 약속한 것이므로 구원은 하나님의 영으로 인도되어 이루어집니다.

Salvation is not what is achieved but what is fulfilled.

The difference between reading the Bible from the religious perspective and the covenant perspective is comparable to the difference between viewing the sun from the geocentric perspective and from the heliocentric perspective. Salvation is not what is achieved but what is fulfilled. What is achieved is a matter of possibility. But what is fulfilled is not a matter of possibility. Salvation is not something possible in the world, but is promised by God. The fulfillment of what has been promised by God is guided the Spirit of God.
