저자 소개

저자 : 제임스 M. 재스퍼 James M. Jasper

하버드 대학 경제학과를 졸업했으며, 프랑스 사회과학고등연구원에서 사회학을 공부했고, 캘리포니아 대학에서 사회학 박사를 취득했다. 뉴욕 대학 사회학과 교수를 역임했으며, 현재는 뉴욕 시립대 교수로 재직 중이다. 《Sociological Forum》, 《Contexts》의 편집 위원으로도 활동하고 있으며, 지은 책으로는 『The Art of Moral Protest』, 『Restless Nation』, 『The Social Movements Reader』, 『Passionate Politics』 등이 있다.
