Author/Illustrator Mike Venezia has been getting to know the world's greatest artists for as long as he can remember.
A graduate of The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, Mike belives the best way to introduce kids to art and artists is through fun. If kids can look at art in a fun. If kids can look at art in a fun wqy, and think of artists as real people, the exctiting world of art will be open to them for the rest of their lives. Mike lives in a Chicago suburb with his wife, Jeannine, and children Michael Anthony and Elizabeth Ann.
While studying Renoir and the Impressionist movement of the 19th century, Mike was inspired to try his hand at painting happy, joyful moments of contemporary life. After weeks of searching, Mike filed to find such moments, and decided to start a brand-new art movement, which he calls Depressionism.
