"New lamps for old ones! Who will change old lamps for new?"
Before long his voices reached the palace. A silly maid who chanced to be clearing Aladdin's sitting room, hearing the outcries, took down his lamp from where it stood, and said to the princess:
"Will you give me leave to change this old lamp for a new one? For it looks quite old and dirty"
