꼭 한번 읽어보라고, 정말 좋은 책이라고 하는 추전을 주변에서 굉장히 많이 받았던 책이다. 게으름 탓에 차일피일 미루다 몇 년이 지났고 드디어 올해 여름 읽게 되었다.
번역본을 살까 하다가 원서 가격이 좋아서 원서로 사게 되었다. 역사를 이렇게 재미있게 쓸수도 있구나 하고 놀란 책이다. 저자의 책을 읽기 전에 인터뷰도 많이 읽고 강연도 들어보아서 책의 내용에;

영문판, 한글판을 함께 놓고 비교를 좀 했습니다. 영문판 페이퍼백은 적절하게 사진이 잘 들어갔지만 사진이 좀 흐리고 흑백이네요. 하지만 작가의 의도를 제대로 파악하는데는 원작자가 다른 몇사람과 함께 번역한 영문판을 권장합니다.한글판 활자체가 좀더 크고 컬러사진이 들어가 대중적으로 다가가기 쉽네요. 하지만 영문판에서는 새로운 단락으로 되어 있는게 붙여져 있고 사진이;
