‘나는 중생이라 아무것도 모른다’는 소극적인 생각을 버리고, ‘오는 대로 내가 먹을 것이고, 닥치는 대로 분별심 없이 그 자리에 놓을 거고, 닥치는 대로 걸을 거고, 물러서지 않을 것이다’ 라는 투철한 마음을 가지라. 보는 거, 듣는 거, 느끼는 거 일체를 맡기고, 내 앞에 다가오는 대로 다시 맡겨 놓고, 당당하게 살아가라. 눈에 보이지는 않으나, 엄연히 작동하고 있는 마음의 작용은 실제로 벌어지고 있는 일이라는 것을 거듭 강조하며, 스님의 가르침은 녹녹치 않은 오늘을 살아가는 청년들에게 힘찬 응원의 에너지를 듬뿍 안겨준다.
